Switzerland vs Turkey

Up next is a relative must win for both of these teams. Anything less than a draw virtually eliminates either team here. Additionally, if Turkey draws of beats Switzerland, Portugal will be guarunteed to move on. I will back Switzerland here with Tranquillo Barnetta, but I do of course expect a game that could go either way. We should expect a physical battle as you may recall these teams went at it a bit after the game in the last World Cup. I will not be doing a running commentary on this game, but will post updates in the action from time to time. If you are watching then pick up the slack for me in the comment section!
Final: Turkey wins 2-1 with the last minute goal. What heartbreak for the Swiss. Turkey will be elated at the 3 points and will have helped their chances greatly, now knowing that a win against the Czech Republic will send them into the final 8. Switzerland now will be playing for pride as the most points they can manage would be 3, and the lowest possible for second place would be 4.
90+: GOAL: Turkey scores at the death of the game and wins 2-1. What a disappointment for Switzerland. Portugal will go on and Switzerland is all but eliminated.
84th: Great counter by Switzerland but the shot is saved and the rebound attempt is covered. Wow that was close!
83rd: With stoppage time each team will have about 10 minutes remaining to break the deadlock.
62nd: Turkey has scored on a header to even the match 1-1. Goal comes from Senturk.
Halftime: We're through to half with Switzerland remaining on top 1-0.
38th: So far we have a 1-0 lead for Switzerland, as Yakin scores an amazingly easy goal. The cross parallel with the goalline that would normally provide an easy finish was made easier yet as the ball stopped dead in a puddle for him. And yes, it is pouring in Basle.
1st: Play has begun, and it seems like a very nice crowd for Switzerland.
Pre-game: Turkey will be without Emre today.
