McBride back to Chicago?

In what has been one of the most widely speculated moves for the MLS, Brian McBride appears set to rejoin the MLS and it is no secret that he would love to play in his hometown and that Chicago would of course love a player of his caliber to pair with the playmaking skills of Blanco. Standing in the way is Toronto, who stands to inherit the rights to McBride if he signs with MLS. The ensuing trade talks has of course led to Toronto wanting multiple players and Chicago offering a ham sandwich and telling Toronto to be nice guys and let McBride play in his hometown. In what seemed like a stalemate, the most recent development reported is that a deal has been struck between the two sides, awaiting only a final approval from the league office. The supposed deal would said disgruntled defender Wilman Conde, a conditional draft pick and a partial allocation to Toronto in exchange for Chicago gaining the right to sign McBride. The deal makes sense and I think would be reasonable for both sides. Chicago gets a major impact forward that would immediately push them to my favorite to win the championship this year, where Toronto gets the younger talent in Conde, also filling a position of need for Toronto, as well as the draft pick and allocation for future players. I think this could well be true because it sounds to me like a Mo Johnson type of trade. Think this is the real deal this time an McBride will be wearing Fire red in the near future? Too afraid to bite just? Personally I this makes too much sense to me for it to be just another rumor, and I expect McBride will in fact be heading to Chicago, which as a Red Bull fan makes me cringe... Share your thoughts below... Happy for McBride, happy for the league, angry fan from another team in the East? Let us know
