Set those alarms again, after a sensational display against the Netherlands earned the United States only 1 point, it all comes down to this game against Nigeria. It's quite simple, secure a result and more on the the semis. Don't look for a US team that will be content to defend and play for a draw however. Nigeria has dangerous attacking play, and will be most vulnerable in the back where a pair of starting defenders will be out due to yellow card suspension. This is one of those games where the timeless ascertation that the best defense is a good offense might well fit the bill.
My question to you is without the services of Freddy Adu and Michael Bradley, who should the US turn to for a starting line-up? Think Szetela can fill Bradley's boots or do you prefer Feilhaber? Any predictions on this match? I like the United States to win 2-1 and follow their female counterparts into the knockout stage.
