Alright, it's officially Monday, 2 days from the Champions League Final between Chelsea and Manchester United. This is your advance heads up, if you work beyond 3 PM EST, start making a good show of a cough every now and then at work today and Tuesday. You're going to want to catch this one live if possible, but if not record it or make espn360.com your new best friend at work and don't forget the alt-tab when a boss comes around. I won't even go into details on why you should watch this match. It is the greatest title a club team can hold, and better yet it features two heated rivals from England. If you don't know some of the featured players I suggest you watch instead of reading my player profiles. Each team boasts world class stars, but they play somewhat different styles. Manchester United tends to play a more open, attacking style. Chelsea has very impressive firepower, but tends to be more reserved and if they can score first they often try to kill the game to sit on a 1-0 lead. I think the game will greatly depend on the first half. If a goal is scored early look for a more wide open match. Who do you like Wednesday? I like Manchester United as I fancy them the better side and also prefer watching them to Chelsea. I'm going to go 2-0 to Manchester United, so that is unlikely to be the final score! Coverage on ESPN 2 starts at 2:00 PM EST with kickoff scheduled for 2:45. I will not be doing a running commentary as I have a meeting that will take me past kickoff, but I will record the game and join live around halftime. I will post a game summary afterwards. Please share your predictions for the matchup.
