A quick thought from Sunday's MLS action I failed to address until now. Raise your hand if you thought the only players on the LA Galaxy that could do anything were David Beckham and Landon Donovan (with the occasional fluke by Alan Gordon). Now who happened to catch Sunday's match against FC Dallas? 5-2 in favor of LA, with the difference being provided by, that's right, Edson Buddle. For anyone wondering, this is not the first hatty of his career, previously striking three times in the same place against RSL as a Red Bull.
And how about Dallas? After a promising beginning they have really faltered. I like big Kenny Cooper and am glad to see him in the US player pool for the upcoming friendlies. I also am a fan of Alvarez. My biggest question has to be how healthy Toja is. He is always a good player but I just feel like his impact on the game is down. The Hoops need him to be big, and also wouldn't mind seeing DC United and San Jose on the schedule a few more times. UPDATE: FC DALLAS COACH STEVE MORROW HAS BEEN FIRED!!!
Speaking of the upcoming friendlies for the US team, Argentina has revealed their roster to be used against the United States. Riquelme and Tevez were conspicuously missing after finishing long seasons, but Lionel Messi, Javier Mascherano, Gabriel Heinze, and Julio Cruz will be players to watch, but then again who isn't for Argentina?! I have my fears about dealing with Messi since players like Dos Santos and Guardado for Mexico have caused problems for the US.
Lastly, with tomorrow's big Champions League Final looming, where will you be watching the match? Will you be following a gametracker at work (I will find and post later a link to watch the game live online)? Watching at home? Sneaking out to a sports bar? If so, where will be the best places to catch the match with fellow fans?
