Soccer Saturday

Both the Rochester Rhinos and New York Red Bulls will be in action this weekend. The Red Bulls host the Chicago Fire in what figures to be a somewhat more intense rivalry than in the past. The match will be on MSG at 3 PM EST on Sunday. I will post pre-game notes later today. The Rhinos travel to Cary, NC to face the Carolina Railhawks at WakeMed Soccer Park. If you haven't seen the park yet and you paid for the usllive pass or have time to look it up on google, it is a beautiful soccer park, if we had a similar venue in Rochester you'd be punching me in the face in the ticket line about now.

At WakeMed, expect an energized effort from the Rhinos. After a well needed week off from action the team has had an opportunity to recover from some of the early season knocks they have taken. With what should be a top choice line-up with a full week to prepare and get the midfielders and forwards to link up with quality, I expect to see a more entertaining performance. It may be an away game and the Rhinos may be considered underdogs, but with a new coach it takes time to implement a system of attacking soccer. I have a feeling much of the early season has been spent on fitness, and this past week should have provided time to address some of the issues that have haunted the club early on. Don't be surprised to see the Rhinos walk out with a point on the road or even their first win tonight. My prediction? 1-1 draw, goal by Kreamalmeyer.
MLS action on Saturday:
New England at Colombus, 7:30 EST, on Fox Soccer Channel, should be worth the watch
Toronto FC at DC Scum (United), 7:30 EST, the immediate rematch after Toronto's home win
Real Salt Lake at FC Dallas, 8:30 EST, how will Dallas fare without Morrow?
Chivas USA at Colorado, 9:30 EST, will Mastroeni be shown a card? Odds 2-1
KC Wizards at LA Galaxy, 10:30 EST, can Claudio Lopez steal the show from Goldenballs, or will Edson Buddle flex his muscles yet again?
My scorelines, Colombus 3, New England 1
Toronto 2, DC 2
Real Salt Lake 1, FC Dallas 2
Chivas 2, Colorado 2
KC Wizards 1, LA Galaxy 2
DO NOT USE THESE TO BET, THEY WILL ALMOST CERTAINLY NOT BE THE TRUE RESULTS!!!

What are your predictions?
