Red Bulls/Andrew Boyens Ink Deal

Recently reported by Ives Galarcep, defender and New Zealand international Andrew Boyens has come to an agreement with the New York club to join the clubs roster immediately. Boyens, previously with Toronto FC but released to make room for their recent influx of midfielders, has been on trial with the Red Bulls and apparently has impressed Juan Carlos Osorio to make the move. It may come at an appropriate time as starter Chris Leitch and reserve Carlos Mendes are both injured, and Boyens may have to step right in and start in his first game with the senior team. What do you think of the move? Think the Red Bulls needed the depth at defense, think they should have been quicker to pull the trigger on one of the previous trialists? Think this is the first step in Carlos Mendes' glorious return to the Rhinos? Stay tuned this week as I post some thoughts leading up to Thursday night MLS as long as the Rhinos game, which I will provide a running commentary on this time. Any features you'd like to see added please e-mail me or comment, I have been thinking of possibilities but want to avoid copying too many ideas from other blogs.
