Halftime: With a 2-0 home lead and showing no major signs of faltering I think Real Madrid should be able to hold onto this one. I apologize for the format change, suddenly the spaces between events I post disappear when I update the page so it all runs together. Nothing like technical difficulties! I will be unable to update during the 2nd half, I have to go play for my own team, but feel free to discuss the action.
45th- Krkic earns a free kick for kicking the field instead of the ball and falling down... Marquez wastes in and we're at halftime with Barcelona still trailing 2-0.

26th- Barcelona will have a good look with a free kick coming from about 25 yards, straight on. Look like it may be Thierry Henry.
23rd- Lionel Messi with a rather hopeful shot on goal off a free kick from about 30 yards and near the sideline. Barcelona looks like a team in trouble, and I would have to say down 2-0 as the away side they are in trouble. Will their considerable offensive talents get them back in the game? As I type, decent build-up but Krkic sends his shot high and wide.

18th- Hit off the wall and out of play, corner coming for Real Madrid. A long range volley is spilled by Valdes but he manages to control it just before Raul can pounce.

After a nice buildup from Real Madrid the ball is touched over to Raul who slaps it inside the post with his left foot, beyond the reach of Victor Valdes.
11th- It must be said Barcelona has enjoyed a fair amount of possession early on and has just put together a nice sequence, but the the cross was lacking.
6th- Barcelona escapes a dangerous situation as Victor Valdes holds the ball at his feet too long in goal and is forced to dribble through a pair of Real Madrid attackers before playing the ball away rather precariously, but Barcelona possesses.
2nd- We're underway, both teams should be motivated here, Barcelona to save face on a disappointing season and earn a big road win against their rivals, and Real Madrid to improve on an exceptional home record and place an exclamation on their dominance. Conspicuously missing from the Barcalona lineup are Deco and Eto'o due to suspension and Iniesta and Milito are unavailable due to injury.
