MLS on ESPN

Don't forget, at 7:30 tonight the Chicago Fire take on DC United on ESPN. Watch Luciano Emilio and Marcelo Gallardo (game time decision- groin) battle it out with Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Justin Mapp and Chris Rolfe. If nothing else, tune in if you don't have anything to do and give ESPN their soccer ratings. I usually check out the Thursday night MLS game regardless of my overall interest level because if we want improved soccer coverage in the United States we have to show by numbers that their efforts will pay off and there are enough soccer fans here. Yes, this is a bit of a shameless advertisement, but I don't work for ESPN! Every once in awhile if you are pleased to see a game being televised, log onto ESPN.com and send a comment saying so. Same idea if you are unhappy about a game not being televised. But if no one tunes into games, don't expect expanded coverage anytime soon. Just something to think about.
